My husband celebrated his 35th birthday in January. That means I've known him for more than half of his and my life! And I'm so thankful for such a wonderful man to be my husband and Daddy to our precious boys!
Look, how mean am I? I made him cook his own birthday lunch.
But I did make him this scrumptious German chocolate cake. That's nice, right?
My husband and his sweet mom. Can I just say that she is the best? You always hear these horrible stories about mothers-in-law. But not mine...I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law!
Happy Belated Birthday to my sweet husband!
Next up to celebrate...10 years of marriage next month!

good times with family
Between Christmas and New Year's we went to Nana and Papa's place in east Texas. It's so nice to get away and do something different. We all had a blast!
We also had some of my family (uncle, aunt, & cousin) from Colombia come and visit! It had been 5 years since we saw them last...too long. We enjoyed bringing in the New Year with them!
Making Colombian tamales...
My Tio brought us all hats, leis, and lighted pins to help celebrate.
Our C man was super excited about the fireworks!
L was more comfortable cuddled up as a spectator.
It was so great to visit with our family, and it makes me look forward to when the 5 of us are able to travel back to Colombia!

Christmas 2010
Yes, Christmas 2010. I have just a *tad* bit of catching up to do. Here we go...
Let's start with the boys' Christmas parties.
I love this one. The kids are reciting a Bible verse and doing the motions for God being mighty.
Me and my little Mighty Moose.
C at his kinder party.
And the rest of this past joyful Christmas season in pictures...
L insisted on carrying this platter home in his lap.

The End
