Last month, I took the boys to boys to Marburger Orchard in Fredericksburg and enjoyed a morning picking strawberries with friends.
The kids had a great time. They listened attentively to the instructions on how to choose and pick the strawberries.
After listening to the instructions, away they went!
The boys really did a good job selecting nice, red, ripe strawberries to pick. Baby P even got the hang of getting the strawberries off the plant (although he managed to get a few white and green ones in our box).
Pickings were good!
I'm excited to go back for the peaches, which should also be plentiful.

Preschool Graduation
It's hard to believe, but our C man has just about finished 2 years of preschool at Oak Hills. Wow! We are so proud of him. He has done so great. He really enjoyed being in school and making friends. The whole experience has been wonderful. His teachers have been fabulous! I'll always remember 2 things his teachers have said about him. Last year, his teacher said that she could see Jesus in him. This year, Mrs. Campbell has said that he is always smiling. The whole staff at Oak Hills is so special. You can really see how they truly love and care for each child. They show and teach the kids about kindness, encouragement, limits, fun, support, love and best of all Jesus. It's certainly helped prepare them for the adventure of kindergarten.
Today was C's preschool graduation. The kids were just so stinking cute as they sang songs and recited their memory verses!
The focus this year was putting Acts into Action. One of the ways the kids did this was by collecting money for Living Water International and specifically for the country of Burkina Faso. They raised over $5000! They also talked about simple, everyday things they can do also like praying for someone who is sick or using kind words towards others.
Here is C's class reciting their memory verse.
Smiling for Daddy.
Receiving his certificate.
All the boys in the class...how handsome.
The whole class.

Me and my boys.
And a few other photos...
Um, I think he was getting just a little tired.
C, this is just the beginning for you! You'll do great things! We love you so very much!!!

Mother's Day
My Mother's Day weekend started out with a tea party at C's preschool on Friday. When I walked into the room, C came over and took my hand and led me to my place at the table they had set up. So sweet!
In addition to the tea and cookies, we had corsages to wear and gifts prepared for us. Each of the mommies got a dish towel with their child's hand print and a cookbook of "recipes" by the kids. The cookbook is hilarious! Here is one of C's recipes:
Later that day, my husband surprised my and came home early from work. Woo Hoo! For dinner, we went to Fralo's. That place makes the best pizza ever! It was nice to enjoy a dinner out with my sweet guys!!!
On Sunday, I got to sleep in and had a lovely breakfast prepared by my husband. Complete with homemade waffles, sausage, eggs, and fruit. Oh, and coffee of course! The boys gave gave me a sweet card and a bookmark they had picked out. I also got a gift card to Barnes & Noble, which was completely C's idea!
Later that day, we went over to my parent's house for a crawfish boil. Thanks to my parents, brother and sis in law for getting that together!
Here's my husband showing the boys a crawfish.
Baby P checking out the crawfish.
Boys and dirt...inseparable.
Ipo and Baby P.
My Mom and I.
All the mamas.
Three of five...
And here's one of Baby P and me. Look, he's smiling for a picture! (I tickled him.)
I usually get this grumpy face. Ha, ha! Cracks me up.
Our meal. Yum!
It was a nice weekend filled with lots of fun and relaxation!
Being a mom is truly the most challenging thing there is. No doubt about that! But I adore it, cherish it, and would not trade it for anything! I love, love, love my husband and our 3 beyond precious boys God has given us.
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Tomato Soup
Cook the soup in a pan.
Cook it for 60 hours.
The soup is hot so let it cool off.
Then make a grilled cheese to dip in the tomato soup.
