Day Out With Thomas

Man, I've not kept up with my blogging like I'd like to. I have several different posts I'd like to publish sooner than later. My primary goal is to document our daily life with our wonderful boys. The last thing I want to do is forget all the sweet moments in the craziness (that's a good kind of crazy) of it all.
 -----------
Earlier this month, my guys and I went to see Thomas the Tank Engine at a Day Out With Thomas. There were different activities for the kiddos and, of course, a ride on Thomas the train himself.

five question friday

My Little Life

1. What is the one thing that you reach for the most in a day (excluding phones and computers)?

Well, since I can't say computers...

Wow, this is hard to narrow down to one! I would have to say children and food...you know food for the boys, of course. :)

2. What is the farthest you have been from home?

Colombia

3. What kind of cell phone do you have? Love it or hate it?

Motorola Razor - Love it, for now. Well, it does its job just fine, especially since I really don't text that much. I can't say I wouldn't love an iPhone or some other smart phone.

4. Coke or Pepsi?

Hands down, Coke. Actually, Cherry Coke!

5. If you could go back and change anything about your wedding day, what would it be and why?

I think it would be to not worry so much about pleasing others and worrying about the little, unimportant things. Instead, focusing on the moment and beauty of it all!

Also, I think it would have been cool to have hired a professional videographer.

Well, there it is. That was fun and easy! How about you? Answer in the comments if you'd like or link up HERE.

celebrate!

We celebrated two special birthdays this weekend - my Dad's 65th and Baby P's 1st!

My dad's birthday is actually today, so - Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Friday evening, we celebrated my Dad's birthday by going out to eat at the Macaroni Grill, followed by birthday cake at our house.

Saturday, we were all very excited to get to spend time with Nana and Papa!

Then, Sunday was Baby P's birthday celebration at Gymboree. The kids had so much fun! It was great to see! Baby P loved playing and watching all the kids.

Fun in a new, exciting place!

The kids got to walk up this bolster and jump off.

L hiding.

Having a blast!

The Gymboree instructor had the kids tell her what ingredients went into a birthday cake. Then, used scarves to 'make' the cake inside the inner tube.

Birthday cake explosion!

Baby P got inside the birthday cake...after the explosion.

Bubbles!

Parachute - On top...

...and under. WooHoo!

Birthday cake time!

My first taste of cake...yummm!

Family photo, Yea! These seem harder and harder to get with everyone looking in the direction of the camera and without any crying.

Awww, I love my family!!! We are so blessed!!!

P.S. In lieu of gifts, we collected food donations for Food Paks. Distribution of the Food Paks will help feed hungry families in San Antonio and is organized by the Children's Hunger Fund in partnership with Oak Hills Church. An update on that will be coming soon. Thanks to all who donated!!!

one more post for today

We have one less boy wearing diapers!

I was really not looking forward to potty training again. However, it was a cinch! L potty trained in about 2 weeks! He did and continues to do great. Still needs frequent reminders to take potty breaks, but that is to be expected...and I'll take it!

Great job L!

----------

an attempt at a A Poem By Ana:

One year ago today, I felt like I might burst!
One year ago today, was this baby boy's due date.

He would be our third baby boy, not our first!
Five days longer, we would have to wait...

first haircut

Saturday was a fun filled day for us. We got to visit with family and Baby P got his first haircut.

The boys were very excited to see Paw Paw, Maw Maw, Uncle A and Uncle D. We met for lunch and had a good time spending time together. It was great to see them!

After lunch, we proceeded to surprise my mom by taking Baby P in to get his first haircut at the salon where she works. He did great! No crying...just very busy while sitting in Daddy's lap. :)

So handsome! Thanks Ita!
