more summer fun...

...and few words.

The boys and I joined our friends for peach picking at this orchard in Fredericksburg.

We also visited our local museum to see a really cool dinosaur exhibit.

So, we asked the kiddos what a dinosaur sounds like. This next two pictures crack me up! They are so cute!

The dinosaur exhibit turned out to be a lot of fun. The dinosaurs moved and made noise so I wasn't sure if the boys would be a little scared. C was excited from the start and loved it. When we first got there, L wasn't too sure about it and said he wanted to leave. He ended up loving it also! And P, well he would scream at me to get him as close as we could to the dinosaurs. This lady walked by and said to me, "Awww, he (referring to P) is probably scared." I said, "Nope! He is insisting on getting really close the them!"

It's fun going back and remembering what a nice summer we had. I'm so glad, especially since C is in kinder now.

how I became a pirate

Memorial Day weekend (almost 3 months ago-Yikes!) we took the boys to see 'How I Became a Pirate' at The Magik Theatre. It was based on the first book in a two book series - the second book being 'Pirates Don't Change Diapers.' Both of these stories are fun reads!

While we waited for the theatre to open, we hung out at a playground right outside and burned off some energy.

This is the best picture I got of Baby P that day. The boy is in constant motion!

And what's a play without some popcorn?!

This was our second play to see at The Magik Theatre. Last year we saw 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,' which was cute. But I think this time was a bit more fun because all three boys sat and watched the entire play pretty attentively!

strawberries!

Last month, I took the boys to boys to Marburger Orchard in Fredericksburg and enjoyed a morning picking strawberries with friends.

The kids had a great time. They listened attentively to the instructions on how to choose and pick the strawberries.

After listening to the instructions, away they went!

The boys really did a good job selecting nice, red, ripe strawberries to pick. Baby P even got the hang of getting the strawberries off the plant (although he managed to get a few white and green ones in our box).

I'm excited to go back for the peaches, which should also be plentiful.

Preschool Easter Party

Okay! I have some catching up to do. I can't believe it's already May!

Let's start with Easter, shall we? That was already one month ago today!

The Easter festivities started off with an Easter party for C's preschool class. One of the other preschool moms graciously opened up her family's home for the party. It is the kids only 'field trip' of the year and I think they really loved it!

The kids played...

Participated in an egg hunt...

The preschool kiddos had to find 11 eggs with their name on them. This made it fun and a bit more challenging! The younger siblings had their own egg hunt in another part of the yard.

I just love C's teacher and class. The kids in his class are too adorable and get along so well! And what's really neat is that there are 4 or 5 younger siblings (including our L) that will be starting at Oak Hills Preschool in the fall and will be in the same 3 year old class together!

The Easter Party was so great. Thanks to our wonderful hostess and her boys for having us in their home! It was so much fun watching the kids play and visiting with the other moms.

L turns 3...

...well, almost a month ago! I had to get this post up before March comes to and end. And seeing as how today is March 31st, I'm just in time!

Our sweet secondborn son turned 3 on March 2nd.

I just love photos. It takes me back to those sweet memories. When I was younger, teenager to be exact, I used to get annoyed that my parents wanted to take so many pictures. But now I get it. I totally get it. (Mom and Dad -Sorry for the attitude back then.)

Here is our C man meeting L for the first time and showing him some love.

To celebrate L's 3rd birthday, we went out to eat at The Rainforest Cafe. He loves animals so I thought this would be fun for him.

Although he didn't want to get to close the the animals, L did have a good time. The animals really do look life like and are loud when they make their animals sounds.

L, you are a sweet, laid back child and fit in well as the middle child of our family. You are talking a bunch these days! There is so much you want to say that sometimes you even stutter a bit. You do everything your older brother does. It's a good thing sometimes and other times (like a to shirt of yours said) - Monkey see. Monkey do. Monkey get in trouble too. Recently, you've become pretty shy and embarass easily. You continue to be so loving with Baby P, insisting on touching his head and kissing him. You enjoy coloring, can now use scissors, count to between 10 and 20, can identify shapes, and are currently working on learning letters and numbers. Oh, and thanks to our C man, you can spell your name! L, Happy 3rd Birthday! What's that you ask? Do we love you? YES! I say YES! We love you so, so much little L!!!
