Mother's Day

My Mother's Day weekend started out with a tea party at C's preschool on Friday. When I walked into the room, C came over and took my hand and led me to my place at the table they had set up. So sweet!



In addition to the tea and cookies, we had corsages to wear and gifts prepared for us. Each of the mommies got a dish towel with their child's hand print and a cookbook of "recipes" by the kids. The cookbook is hilarious! Here is one of C's recipes:

Tomato Soup

1. 
   
   Cook the soup in a pan.
2. 
   
   Cook it for 60 hours.
3. 
   
   The soup is hot so let it cool off.
4. 
   
   Then make a grilled cheese to dip in the tomato soup.

Mrs. Campbell and the kids really went all out. It was great!

Later that day, my husband surprised my and came home early from work. Woo Hoo! For dinner, we went to Fralo's. That place makes the best pizza ever! It was nice to enjoy a dinner out with my sweet guys!!!












On Sunday, I got to sleep in and had a lovely breakfast prepared by my husband. Complete with homemade waffles, sausage, eggs, and fruit. Oh, and coffee of course! The boys gave gave me a sweet card and a bookmark they had picked out. I also got a gift card to Barnes & Noble, which was completely C's idea!

Later that day, we went over to my parent's house for a crawfish boil. Thanks to my parents, brother and sis in law for getting that together!

It was a nice weekend filled with lots of fun and relaxation!

Being a mom is truly the most challenging thing there is. No doubt about that! But I adore it, cherish it, and would not trade it for anything! I love, love, love my husband and our 3 beyond precious boys God has given us.

Preschool Easter Party

Okay! I have some catching up to do. I can't believe it's already May!

Let's start with Easter, shall we? That was already one month ago today!

The Easter festivities started off with an Easter party for C's preschool class. One of the other preschool moms graciously opened up her family's home for the party. It is the kids only 'field trip' of the year and I think they really loved it!

The preschool kiddos had to find 11 eggs with their name on them. This made it fun and a bit more challenging! The younger siblings had their own egg hunt in another part of the yard.

I just love C's teacher and class. The kids in his class are too adorable and get along so well! And what's really neat is that there are 4 or 5 younger siblings (including our L) that will be starting at Oak Hills Preschool in the fall and will be in the same 3 year old class together! 

The Easter Party was so great. Thanks to our wonderful hostess and her boys for having us in their home! It was so much fun watching the kids play and visiting with the other moms.

Celebrate!

Back in March, we had a small birthday party for C and L here at the house. A good time was had by all. Except it was a bit cold. I don't know what it is about us and birthday parties. For C's second birthday party it was cold, really cold, like in the 40's with no sun cold. Cold weather set in for the older boys' party last year and again this year. At least it was sunny last year and this year, and the kids don't seem to be too affected by the cold. Of course, jumping on the trampoline helps.










The trampoline was the boys' birthday gift this year. We figured it was a good investment, what with 3 boys and all. All that energy calls for some good, ole jumping!!!


Although the best part of these parties is spending time with family and friends, eating cake and opening presents is pretty fun too. At least the kids think so. :)

Wow, 5 and 3 years old! And what sweet, precious 5 and 3 year old boys they are!!!

Baby P

*Update - I did forget some words...ta (Ita) and wa, wa, wa (whoa, whoa, whoa).

Oh, Baby P, how you keep us on our toes. What? Is he 1 or something?! Ha, ha. I like to use that line every so often when...well, when he's acting his age.

What is Baby up to these days? Well, he's always in motion. That is for sure!

He says mama, dada, bubu (bubbles), dow (down), do (dog), uma (I think it means up), shh (shoes), ba (ball), wawa/ awa (water/ agua), ba (also means bowl), see (cereal), sh (also means fish), and caca (cracker-said it only 2 times maybe). There may be more that I'm missing. He seems to scream often, both when he's excited and mad. And though his speech isn't developing at the rate his brothers' did, the boy understands just about everything you say and copies so much! His play seems so advanced, thanks to all he copies from his brothers.

Baby P does some cute stuff like waving his hand with his pointer finger out to imitate what the doctor says to those 5 monkeys who like to jump on the bed, gasps when he's real excited about something he's seen (like when he saw what he knew to be candy on Easter), "jumps" by bending his knees and sort of stepping big, and gives great hugs with arms wrapped around you and everything.

His brothers have made a game of Baby P coming after them with this play sword. And Baby P loves it! He chases them and hits them with it. Oh, what fun! Well, until he uses the end that kinda hurts.

Oh, how I love to see brotherly love. I pray our boys will always be close and know how special they are to each other.
